My name is Sarina Shrestha. This is my second year at The University of Colorado Boulder where I am majoring in psychology with a minor in business. I was born and raised in Colorado, and I have never moved throughout my entire life. I am the only child, though my parents still consider me a handful. My family and friends are very important to me, and I am fortunate to have such a close group of people around me. I love spending time with them as much as I can. I am also a proud owner of the funniest furball in the world named Hero. 

Art has always been a part of me. It is a meaningful way for me to express myself and explore my creative side. Through art, I have been able to explore my ideas and feelings in ways that I couldn't through words. Same as music. I believe music is also a form of art that everyone can connect with. I love writing my own songs and playing the guitar. I've been doing it for many years and hope that one day I will be able to share my music with the world. 

I believe art is so much more than looking with your eyes. Art is something that can also be felt. When my dad paints a picture I can not only see a story but feel its emotions. From a young age, my dad and I have drawn together. It's why I love art so much and feel the need to learn more about it in this course.
